Wolk, 57, a board-certified vascular surgeon, will assume his CMO position Aug. 4. He will still retain his current role as president of Spectrum Health Medical Group, a position he's held since March 2014.

In addition to its hospitals and physician group, the $3.9 billion Spectrum system includes Priority Health, a 575,000-member health plan.
