Spectrum Health, Grand Rapids, Mich., has appointed Tina Freese-Decker president of the health system's hospital group and Dr. Seth Wolk has been named chief medical officer for the system.
Freese-Decker, 36, starts her new role, which oversees the operations and growth of Spectrum's 11 hospitals and other sites of care, on July 21. She previously was Spectrum's senior vice president and chief strategy officer, and has also served as president of two Spectrum hospitals. Freese-Decker has been with Spectrum since 2002.
Wolk, 57, a board-certified vascular surgeon, will assume his CMO position Aug. 4. He will still retain his current role as president of Spectrum Health Medical Group, a position he's held since March 2014.
In addition to its hospitals and physician group, the $3.9 billion Spectrum system includes Priority Health, a 575,000-member health plan.Follow Bob Herman on Twitter: @MHbhermanHave news to share about executive comings, goings or promotions? E-mail News Editor John N. Frank at email@example.com.
