Final deadline near to send nominations for first Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards

Today's rapidly changing healthcare environment demands every organization—whether provider, insurer, supplier or advocacy group—reach the public with a clear and impactful message communicating their goal of delivering or contributing to higher quality, more affordable and more accessible healthcare.

That's why Modern Healthcare and sister publication Advertising Age are launching the inaugural Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards. This program is designed to recognize healthcare's best advertising, marketing, promotion and communication campaigns across all media platforms. The final deadline for nominations is now July 10.

The awards will honor those campaigns that helped organizations make an impact in today's dynamic healthcare marketplace. Awards will be given to campaigns across all media platforms that promoted the health of individual patients, groups and communities, and helped organizations thrive and grow in today's dynamic healthcare environment.

In addition, the program will give special recognition to the best efforts at community outreach and patient education. There will also be special awards for the agency of the year and best in show.

Finally, the editors of Modern Healthcare and Advertising Age will select the winner of the first Healthcare Marketing Visionary award, which will be given annually to an outstanding individual who has effectively and ethically built public understanding of healthcare issues and made a lasting contribution to the industry over the course of his or her career.

So hold the date: The first Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards Gala will be Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago. It will be held in conjunction with the first Modern Healthcare Strategic Marketing Conference, which will take place Sept. 23-24.

Agencies and organizations are eligible to nominate their best work for these awards.
