Susan G. Komen names Wolf VP of development

Breast cancer organization Susan G. Komen named Betty Wolf VP of development, effective Feb. 24.

Wolf, who began her career in biomedical research, brings 18 years of not-for-profit development experience to the Dallas-based organization. Most recently, she served as the VP of Eisenhower Medical Center's foundation in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

“Betty's background gives her a unique perspective in bridging scientific research with meaningful public health outreach and advocacy—the foundation of Susan G. Komen's work,” Komen President and CEO Dr. Judith Salerno said in a release. “She has significant expertise in building successful development programs and excellent accountability for donors. We are delighted to welcome her to the Komen family.”

Since it was founded in 1982, Susan G. Komen has funded more than $800 million in research and provided $1.7 billion in funding to screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs internationally.
