Stephen Reynolds is retiring from his longtime position as president and CEO of Baptist Memorial Health Care
, Memphis, Tenn., effective in May.
The system named Jason Little, 39, currently executive VP and COO, to become its fifth president and CEO.
Reynolds, 67, arrived at Baptist in 1971 as an administrative resident and became president and CEO in 1994.
During his tenure, Baptist opened two hospitals in Memphis and one in Jonesboro, Ark. It also saw the launch of the Baptist Medical Group, which the system describes as one of the largest physician management organizations in the region.
Little joined Baptist in 2002 and served as administrator and CEO of three Baptist hospitals before he was promoted to senior VP and metro market leader.Follow Beth Kutscher on Twitter: @MHbkutscher
