About the Webinar

Insurers looking to offer low-cost options on the new health insurance exchanges are knitting together narrow provider networks that are willing to offer lower prices in exchange for the guaranteed volume that comes with serving an entire patient population. But that raises thorny questions for both payers and providers: Will patients be satisfied with their limited choices? Can the provider network offer the full range of services that will keep the most seriously ill and financially rewarding patients within the network? And will the deals pay off financially for the hospital systems and physician practices that get involved?

This one-hour webinar will explore those and other questions surrounding the building of narrow networks with a panel of experts who have been on the frontlines in both the payer and provider space. The panel will be moderated by Modern Healthcare editor Merrill Goozner.
