b>What it does: BioRx distributes specialty pharmaceuticals and supplies and provides clinical, reimbursement and in-home support services for the treatment of hemophilia, AAT deficiency, severe nutritional deficiencies and other afflictions.

How it grew to become one of healthcare's hottest:Though BioRx acquired Coagulife Pharmacy last year, helping to enhance the company's expertise in the hemophilia treatment sector, the majority of BioRx's growth has been organic. When explaining that aspect of BioRx's growth, Eric Hill, vice president and co-founder, points to a decentralized customer service model. Hill says the market is begging for the personal approach they provide.

But maintaining a personal touch hasn't stymied growth. Every 14 to 18 months, BioRx has added one or two therapeutic classes to its suite of products and services. And yet, Hill says the company has less than 2% of market share, leaving plenty of opportunity for further growth.

This is the second year BioRx is one of Healthcare's Hottest.
