Voting is now underway for Modern Healthcare's second annual Community Leadership Award.

The award honors healthcare leaders who go far above and beyond their organizational roles to help improve the quality of life in their local communities. In many cases, their work reaches around the globe.

From April 1 through June 21, Modern Healthcare accepted nominations for this year's recognition program. The 10 finalists are based on those nominations. Balloting on the finalists will continue through Sept. 20.

One winner and several honorable mentions will be selected with 50% of the outcome based on reader votes and the other 50% controlled by senior editors at Modern Healthcare. Profiles will be published in a special section of the Nov. 18 issue of Modern Healthcare.
