Bon Secours Health System has appointed Carlos Beato CEO for Bon Secours New York Health System in Riverdale, N.Y., effective April 15.

Beato, 59, will replace Eileen Malo, interim CEO since March 2011. Beato joins Bon Secours from United Methodist Homes of New Jersey, where he has served as corporate director of clinical services. Beato also brings 25 years of senior-level experience in clinical, management and business development, as well as 15 years as CEO of his own company, consulting with hospitals, nursing homes, home-care programs, hospices and assisted-living facilities, and several Bon Secours ministries.

“Bon Secours New York is an important ministry of the Bon Secours Health System, and we are pleased to have a leader and healthcare professional of Carlos' caliber here to help this mission continue to flourish,” Brother Arthur Caliman, president of the board of directors for BSNY, said in a news release. “Carlos possesses excellent healthcare leadership skills with a proven success record in leading complex, quality-oriented healthcare service strategy and operations.”
