Prescription drug data-miner IMS Health has announced its acquisition of Appature, a provider of marketing information for the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer healthcare industries, according to a company statement.
Seattle-based Appature and IMS Health, which has global headquarters in Danbury, Conn., and U.S. division offices in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., are both privately held. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Appature's software-as-a-service application “enables marketers to deepen brand relationships and drive share growth with a platform that integrates the marketing database, campaign management and analytics suite into one easy-to-use solution,”
according to a news release.
Combined, the companies' products “will give healthcare clients the ability to deliver integrated customer experiences and assess end-to-end marketing campaign performance, enabling them to optimize their marketing strategies and promotional spend to drive more effective engagements,” the statement said.
