The Christ Hospital Health Network board of directors today announced Mike Keating as the organization's president and CEO.

Keating, 57, was officially named to the position after a national search. Christ Hospital Health Network is the parent organization of Cincinnati's Christ Hospital. Keating has been serving in this role since Susan Croushore stepped down last September after nearly 10 years as president and CEO of Christ Hospital.

“Mike brings a combination of experiences, strategic thinking, an entrepreneurial sprit and proven leadership to his role as president and CEO,” Thom Gerdes, chairman of the CEO search committee, said in a release.

Though his background is in finance and law—as a partner at Graydon Head, an executive VP at Fifth Third Bancorp, and co-founder and managing partner of his private investment firm—Keating has been a board member of Christ Hospital for more than 21 years. He also served as chairman for five of those years.

“During his time on the board, Mike has distinguished himself for driving alignment with our physicians and being a strategic thinker in an evolving healthcare industry,” George Vincent, board chairman, said in the release.
