Health Catalyst announced the appointment of Dr. John Haughom to a newly created position on its executive team as chief medical officer and senior VP.
Haughom, 64, has spent 18 of the last 20 years at PeaceHealth where he has served in various roles across the company, including senior VP of quality and CIO.
During Haughom's career, which has spanned more than three decades, he has gained clinical, IT and financial leadership experience. A former gastroenterologist, Haughom has also been recognized as one of the country's Top 10 healthcare technology innovators.
It's these varied proficiencies that Health Catalyst hopes to integrate during its “key time of substantial growth,”
according to a news release.
He began Feb 5.
“(Haughom) is a critical part of our strategy to satisfy the growing need for systematic clinical improvement enabled by access to actionable data,” CEO Dan Burton said in the release.
The Salt Lake City-based company specializes in healthcare data warehousing and analytics, and its products are used by 81 hospitals nationwide caring for more than 20 million patients.
