Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield announced the appointment of Wheeler Coleman to the newly created role of senior VP and CIO of the Lifetime Healthcare Cos. and its subsidiary Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Coleman joined Excellus on Feb. 4. He was previously VP and chief technology officer for the Health Care Service Corp., where he oversaw information technology strategy and spending, platform consolidation and other IT management issues, such as resource and vendor management, according to an Excellus spokesman and the
company's news release announcing Coleman's appointment.
