Doug Bilbrey has been named business development manager for Boston Software Systems, the company has announced.
Bilbrey comes to the job with more than 24 years of healthcare information technology experience, the Boston-based developer of business automation software systems said. He has worked as a programmer analyst and developer with HBOC and Co., now McKesson Corp.; in application development for Bronson Healthcare Group, Kalamazoo, Mich.; and in sales and marketing with the SSI Group, Mobile, Ala.,
according to a news release.
Bilbrey's career “spans the key operational segments of the healthcare industry,” said Steven Cohen, executive vice president of Boston Software Systems, in the release. “In this new role his focus will be on building partnerships with those vendors offering solutions in the revenue-cycle systems management area. This includes hospital information systems, practice management systems, electronic data interchange or clearinghouse vendors, patient access and other vendors tied to the hospital's general revenue and patient revenue cycle.”
