Three benefits consulting firms in three states have partnered to form a jointly owned data analytics company for medical and prescription claims.

The standalone company, to be named Acclaim Health Analytics, will analyze medical and prescription data to help clients—namely employers—identify opportunities to save money and improve health outcomes.

A news release described the firm as the first of its kind in the country.

The three partners are Peel & Holland, Benton, Ky.; Silberstein Insurance Group, Lutherville, Md.; and Virtus Benefits, Nashville. They met through the Benefit Advisor Network, an industry group in which all three are members, according to the release.

Acclaim Health Analytics plans to use "specialized, cutting-edge technology" to help analyze data and create a strategic plan for each client, the release said.
