ManTech International Corp., Fairfax, Va., has completed its acquisition of fellow Fairfax-based information technology specialist ALTA Systems.
ManTech did not disclose the details of its all-cash acquisition of ALTA Systems but stated in a
news release that there was no expected material impact from the transaction on the company's 2013 financial results. The move is the latest effort by the longtime defense contractor to gain access to the growing federal healthcare market.
The deal follows ManTech's purchase one year ago of Herndon, Va.-based health technology company
Evolvent Technologies.
ALTA provides information technology and professional services to government and private-sector clients for capital planning and investment control; system design, development and operation; and fraud detection and statistical analysis.
ManTech expects to deliver technology services to the CMS through ALTA's prime position on the agency's enterprise systems development contract, which is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract worth up to $4 billion through May 2018.
