Fields is a family physician and currently serves as vice chairman of the family medicine department at Oregon Health and Science University, according to an OCHIN news release. Burdick is the interim director of medical informatics with Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont.

OCHIN praised Fields' work on OHSU's installation of an Epic electronic health-record system and said Burdick's experience optimizing the physician-EHR interface will be put to use promptly to boost doctors' use of OCHIN's Epic EHR system. Fields' and Burdick's ages were unavailable at deadline.

Not-for-profit OCHIN works to expand access to health information technology software and services, in particular for community health centers, individual providers and small practices.
