Regarding “White House calls for healthcare cuts, permanent SGR fix”:

We can't keep cutting physician reimbursement as well as hospital reimbursement. Those that suffer will be those Medicare beneficiaries and others in need of care.

In addition, our brightest students will not choose to go into medicine, but some other more lucrative field.

They could become senators or congressmen where:

Education needed is less;

Hours are non-comparable;

There is no accountability or responsibility for their actions;

They live a comfortable life.
