Charles Spicer Jr. has been named president and CEO of the OU Medical System, effective Jan. 1.
Spicer is currently CEO of the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center,
according to an announcement from the system, which includes OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center and OU Medical Center—Edmond (Okla.). He initially served as the COO of OU Medical Center.
Spicer will replace Cole Eslyn, who is retiring after 35 years in healthcare, according to the announcement.
Previously, Spicer served in executive leadership posts with the University of Texas Health System and with Texas Health Resources in Dallas.
