Catholic Health Services of Long Island, a five-hospital system based in Rockville Centre, N.Y., has replaced President and CEO Lawrence McManus after only eight months on the job, according to a news release.
CHS provided no reason for McManus' departure.
Richard Sullivan Jr., 62, returns to CHS as president and CEO. He served in the same capacity on an interim basis after James Harden retired in July 2011 until
CHS hired McManus in March.
Sullivan also served as executive chairman of CHS from July 2011 to April 2012. Sullivan works as chairman and CEO of CM&F Group, a New York-based insurance brokerage and agency.
