Salar, a Baltimore-based provider of electronic physician documentation and billing tools, has been purchased by a subsidiary of Toronto-based Constellation Software.
The acquisition marks Constellation HomeBuilder Systems' entrance into the healthcare market, according to a Constellation Software news release. Further details about the terms of the deal were unavailable at deadline.
"We are excited to help hospitals achieve their goals of improved bottom lines and patient safety by using Salar's clinical documentation and charge-capture tools," CHS President Dexter Salna said in the release.
Salar was
sold in August 2011 to Transcend Services for $11 million in a cash-for-stock transaction.
