MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn, Ill., has made J. Scott Steiner its permanent CEO,
according to a news release (PDF).
Steiner, 44, had served as interim CEO since July. Since 2007, he had held the hospital's COO spot.
He replaces Brian Lemon, 58, who
left earlier this year for the president’s position at Central DuPage Hospital in Aurora, Ill., Lemon also was named an executive VP at the hospital’s parent company, Cadence Health, Winfield, Ill.
MacNeal is a for-profit hospital part of Nashville-based Vanguard Health System.
