CACI International, will acquire Emergint Technologies in a deal that will close by Dec. 1, according to a
CACI news release.
CACI, a defense and intelligence information technology company based in Arlington, Va., plans to use Louisville, Ky.-based Emergint's data analytics capability and long-standing relationships with national health organizations to expand its health IT capabilities, according to the release.
Emergint provides healthcare-focused IT services for federal and state customers, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration.
The acquisition of Emergint is expected to expand CACI's role in the growing health IT market, according to the release.
In September 2011,
CACI acquired Advanced Programs Group, an information technology management and business IT implementation company.
