Arcadia Solutions, a Burlington, Mass.-based provider of data-centric health IT services, said it has been acquired by Ferrer Freeman & Co., a private-equity firm in Greenwich, Conn., and Arcadia's senior management team.
The company was previously owned by the Pohlad Family Cos., which
acquired Arcadia Solutions in 2007.
A spokeswoman said in an e-mail that the transaction closed earlier this month and Ferrer Freeman is the company's majority owner. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Providers and payers must include physicians in systemwide IT platforms in order to succeed in today's rapidly evolving healthcare industry," said Carlos Ferrer, an FFC co-founder, in a
news release.
Arcadia's clients include large healthcare providers, payers, accountable care organizations and health information exchanges.
