Sunrise Senior Living, McLean, Va., will undergo a leadership change after the company completes its acquisition by Health Care REIT.
Mark Ordan, the company's CEO; Greg Neeb, its chief administrative and investment officer; and David Haddock, its general counsel, will step down from their roles after the sale, which is expected in 2013.
Ordan will remain as CEO for up a year during a transition period,
according to a news release. He and Sunrise's founder and Chairman Paul Klaassen will also serve on the company's board.
Their ages were not available at deadline.
Ordan joined the company in March 2008 as chief administrative and investment officer and stepped into the CEO role eight months later. He was previously CEO at the Mills Corp., Fresh Fields Markets and Balduccis.
Healthcare REIT, Toledo, Ohio, entered into a
definitive agreement to acquire the senior housing and assisted living provider in August.
