Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, a Jerusalem-based generic-drug manufacturer, named Allan Oberman president and CEO of the company's Teva Americas Generics.
Oberman, who most recently served as Teva's senior vice president of North America Generic Pharmaceuticals, will continue to lead the North America generics business, as well as the Latin American business,
according to a news release. His age was not immediately available.
He replaces William Marth, who is serving as a senior adviser to
Teva President and CEO Dr. Jeremy Levin until he retires at the end of next year. Levin was named president and CEO of Teva early this year.
