Conifer Health Solutions, the billing and collections subsidiary of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp., has
acquired Dell's healthcare billing and collections business line.
Terms of the deal were not released, a Conifer spokesman said.
The deal expands Frisco, Texas-based Conifer's first and largest business line, revenue-cycle management, following the company's
recent acquisition of InforMed, which expands
Conifer's population health management business, said John Hoffmann, Conifer's spokesman. Conifer's InforMed deal closed on Oct. 31; terms of that deal also were not disclosed, he said.
The acquisition of Dell's revenue-cycle business line will boost Conifer's billing and collections operations to include 10 million patient accounts and $21 billion in patient revenue a year, according to a
news release. The deal is expected to provide Conifer with additional technology, processing capacity and cost efficiencies, the release said.
