In disaster, EHRs still better than paper

Regarding "Superstorm Sandy knocks out power at East Coast hospitals, prompting evacuations":

I hope this isn't twisted into an argument against electronic health records.

A temporary inability to access data because of a data center being hit by a natural disaster is far less likely and more preventable than the complete loss of paper records because of a disaster, as hospitals in the New Orleans and lower Mississippi areas will attest from the Katrina experience.
