Norman Majors, senior VP and chief administrative officer at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, plans to retire at the end of the year. Majors, 67, joined the hospital in 1978. He will continue to serve part time next year as senior adviser to the CEO. … Methodist Healthcare System, San Antonio, named Greg Seiler CEO of Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Seiler is the former CEO of Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas, where he served since 2008. At Methodist, he replaces Elwood Boone III, who left this year to become president of Sentara Virginia Beach (Va.) General Hospital.

Stryker, the Kalamazoo, Mich.-based medical-device manufacturer, named Kevin Lobo president and CEO. Lobo, 47, has served as group president of Stryker's orthopedics business unit since April 2011. Curt Hartman, the company's VP and CFO, has served as interim CEO since February, when Stryker Chairman, President and CEO Stephen MacMillan resigned.
