In a video news interview in Charlotte, N.C., the site of the Democratic National Convention, Adventist Health System President and CEO Donald Jernigan wades into the rhetorical battle over healthcare issues waged in back-to-back weeks of political conventions. Jernigan says hospitals need stability in order to accomplish necessary changes in the way they deliver care. He also says he doubts the claims from some Republican governors that they'll decline to expand Medicaid elegibility under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
