Post Acute Medical, Camp Hill, Pa., has acquired for undisclosed terms a 26-bed long-term acute-care hospital that is within Iasis Healthcare's Southwest General Hospital, San Antonio.
The LTAC, known as Promise Hospital of San Antonio, will be renamed Warm Springs Specialty Hospital of San Antonio, according to a
news release from Post Acute Medical. The company will now offer LTAC, rehabilitation, outpatient and comprehensive wound-care services in the city, according to the statement.
Karen Pitcher, CEO of Promise LTAC, will remain in the same role following the conversion to Warm Springs.
The seller of the LTAC, Promise Healthcare, said several organizations had expressed interest in buying Promise Hospital of San Antonio before Post Acute Medical was selected as the buyer.
