NCH Healthcare System, Naples, Fla., has become a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
The partnership allows its physicians to collaborate with those at the Mayo Clinic. It also allows patients to access Mayo Clinic expertise without having to travel far from home, a news release said.
NCH is the first health system in the Southeast region to join the network, which was launched last year, according to the release. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Mayo will not take an ownership stake in NCH.
“As the healthcare environment in this country continues to change, providers seek meaningful relationships that allow them to best address their patients' needs while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of care,” said Dr. John Noseworthy, president and CEO of Mayo Clinic, in the release
. “The Care Network is about advancing longstanding relationships with organizations that share a commitment to improving care and value for our patients.”
NCH is the seventh medical center to join the network, according to Mayo Clinic's website. Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Lebanon, N.H.
, joined the network last month.
