Modern Healthcare reporter Maureen McKinney recaps the second day of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology's annual conference. Educational sessions on a wide variety of topics, including surgical-site infection prevention and healthcare reform, dominated today's programming. McKinney also sat down for an interview about promoting hygiene in healthcare settings and efforts to reduce infection rates with Elaine Larson, professor at Columbia University School of Nursing.
