SSM Health Care, Oklahoma City, lifted the “interim” tag off Joe Hodges' title, naming him president of the organization's Oklahoma region.
Hodges, 44, has served on an interim basis since September and will assume permanent duty on Feb. 13. He replaced
Chris Howard who was promoted in December to serve as president and CEO of SSM's St. Louis operations.
“Joe's ability to achieve exceptional results and his commitment to innovation are widely known throughout both SSM Health Care and the state of Oklahoma,”
Bill Thompson, SSM Health Care president and CEO, said in a news release. “He has been instrumental in working with Oklahoma City officials to revitalize the Midtown area where St. Anthony is located.”
Hodges will also represent the Oklahoma region as a system vice president. He has spent 20 years with 13-hospital SSM. Since 2005, Hodges worked as president of 499-bed St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. SSM has facilities in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
