Wireless-medical technology company CardioNet, Conshohocken, Pa., has acquired ECG Scanning & Medical Services, a cardiac-monitoring services company, for $5.8 million.
The deal, according to a
CardioNet news release, includes a possible additional $600,000 tied to the meeting of performance targets. The acquisition of ECG gives CardioNet "access to established relationships with healthcare providers and payers in the Midwest," CardioNet President and CEO Joseph Capper said in the release.
ECG will now operate as a subsidiary of CardioNet, according to
CardioNet's website. The company's other subsidiaries include a developer of cardiac event monitors and a provider of healthcare data-collection and analysis services.
