Ascension Health, St. Louis, continued its leadership restructuring by naming Katherine Arbuckle as CFO.
Arbuckle, whose age wasn't provided, comes over from another Catholic health system, Bon Secours Health System in Marriottsville, Md. Since 2006, she served as their executive vice president and CFO.
“Kathy is noted throughout Catholic healthcare for both her financial acumen and her wholehearted commitment to the mission of serving all with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable,”
Ascension Health President and CEO Robert Henkel said in a news release (PDF).
Arbuckle replaces Anthony Speranzo as CFO, as Speranzo last month was named executive vice president and CFO of the Ascension Health Alliance, which is Ascension Health's
new parent company. It formed last month and is the nation's largest not-for-profit healthcare organization. The formation of the new parent organization splits 76-hospital Ascension Health away from its health technology units and other subsidiaries.
Last month, Ascension Health announced
other leadership appointments, including a new COO.
