River Park Hospital, McMinnville, Tenn., named Tim McGill as its new CEO.
McGill, 56, starts the job Feb. 20 for the affiliate of 13-hospital and Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare.
“Our primary goal at River Park Hospital continues to be providing the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction, even as we focus on lowering the cost of care,”
Jeff Golden, chairman of the board of trustees for 125-bed River Park (PDF), said in a news release. “I have great confidence in Tim's ability to lead our hospital through the coming years.”
McGill replaces
Ken Wicker who left the hospital last month. Wicker assumed the CEO role in January 2011. No reason was given for Wicker's departure.
River Park officials touted McGill's 32 years of hospital administrative experience. Since 2008, McGill had worked as CEO at another Capella hospital, 120-bed Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, Ala.
