The Greater Houston Health Information Exchange has changed its name to Greater Houston Healthconnect and named James Langabeer as the organization's new president and CEO.
Langabeer takes over a position previously held by Kay Carr, whose future plans were not available from the information exchange. Langabeer previously was a faculty member and director of the Center for Emergency Research at the University of Texas Health Science Center at the School of Public Health, according to a
Greater Houston Healthconnect news release. His age was unavailable at deadline.
The organization was
founded by the Harris County Healthcare Alliance and the Center for Houston's Future.
