A revamp of the management of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, included the promotion of Robert Walker to the role of president and CEO, replacing J.C. Montgomery Jr., who led the hospital as president for 23 years, the hospital announced.

Walker, whose age was unavailable at deadline, previously was executive vice president and COO. Montgomery, whose age also was unavailable, was named founding chairman and CEO of a new foundation to be formed, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children Foundation. Dr. Karl Rathjen, a staff orthopedist at the hospital, was named president of the foundation.

The hospital also named Dr. Daniel Sucato chief of staff and Dr. B. Stephens Richards to the new position of chief medical officer. Sucato, whose age was unavailable, replaces Dr. J.A. Herring, who was named chief of staff emeritus. Herring's age was unavailable from the hospital. Sucato is an orthopedic surgeon and director of the Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay/Martha and Pat Beard Center for Excellence in Spine Research, a part of Texas Scottish Rite, while orthopedic surgeon Richards currently serves as assistant chief of staff and medical director of inpatient services at the hospital.
