John Starcher, a division CEO of 29-hospital Catholic Health Partners, Cincinnati, has been tapped to head one of Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates' three newly created regional groups.
Effective Feb. 27, Starcher will assume the role of
president of 56-hospital HMA's eastern group, which includes hospitals in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Starcher, 41, joined CHP in 2002 and held a number of positions, most recently serving as the CEO of the system's north division. He'll leave that post on Feb. 24, according to a company spokesman.
In a news release, HMA said Alan Levine will lead its Florida group, and Joe Pinion was recently named president of its southern and western group.
