University of Kansas Hospital CFO Scott Glasrud has been appointed executive vice president and COO of the Chicago-based University HealthSystem Consortium effective May 1.
Glasrud, 56, will replace Roberta Graham, who is retiring as executive vice president later this year and will stay on as Glasrud transitions into the position. Glasrud has been the CFO of the Kansas City-based UKH for 15 years,
according to a news release (PDF). Previously, he held leadership positions with Mercy Health Services in Des Moines, Iowa.
At UHC, Glasrud will have oversight of the organization's
performance improvement, supply chain, strategy research, public policy and networking initiatives, according to the release.
The UHC, which moved from suburban Oak Brook, Ill., to downtown Chicago last June, is an alliance of 115 academic medical centers and 259 affiliated hospitals using comparative data and analytics to collaborate on efforts to
improve quality, safety and cost effectiveness.
