Dane Henry has been named
executive vice president and COO of three-hospital DeKalb Medical, Decatur, Ga.
Henry, 44, succeeds John Shelton, who left the health system in 2011 to take a COO post at Mobile (Ala.) Infirmary Medical Center. In October, Shelton rejoined DeKalb Medical as president and CEO.
Henry previously served as vice president of operations at Northeast Georgia (Gainesville) Medical Center. Prior to that, he was assistant administrator at Atlanta Medical Center. He was also an officer in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Medical Service Corps, according to a news release.
