How will I know when a new issue is available?

The Digital Edition emails will still go out every Monday that an issue is published and will link to the Digital Edition site. You can also visit http://digital.modernhealthcare.com anytime and the most recent issue will be on the front page of the Digital Edition website.

What about other platforms, like Blackberry and Windows7?

Yes, you can read the Digital Edition on those platforms using the PressReader app. Visit the NewspaperDirect PressReader page to find links to apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry and other tablets and mobile devices. Once you download PressReader to your device, simply authorize (see below) that device using your Premium Web or Digital Edition subscription user ID and password.

How do I "authorize" the PressReader app for my Modern Healthcare subscription?

(1) If you haven't logged into the digital edition via your web browser, please do this first. Your PressReader app cannot authorize your subscription until you've first logged into the web-based digital edition at least once with your Premium Web or Digital Edition email address and password.

After you've logged into the web-based digital edition successfully....
(2) Open the PressReader app.
(3) Click the gear icon on the top-right
(4) Enter your Premium Web or Digital Edition email address and password and click "Authorize."

You can also have the apps automatically download the latest issue when you open the app.
After completing the steps above...

(5) Click the "source" button on the top-left of the app.
(6) Choose "Modern Healthcare" and move the "Automatically download issues" slider to "Yes."

Can I still get the PDF?

Premium Web subscribers can still download the PDF through our e-commerce site, just as they would By The Numbers PDFs. Digital Edition subscribers will only have access to the issues available through the new tool.

*The full year is a rolling 365 days. For example, if you started your subscription on January 1, 2012, you would be able to read any issues dating back to January 2, 2011. Halfway through your annual subscription, on June 30, 2012, you would have access to issues dating back to July 1, 2011.
