PeriGen, an obstetrics information technology company based in Princeton, N.J., named Matthew Sappern CEO, effective immediately.
Sappern, 45, succeeds Donald Deieso, a former chief executive of PeriGen who
joined Arsenal Capital Partners last year, according to the private-equity firm's website. Deieso stepped down from PeriGen in August 2011, a PeriGen spokesman said. PeriGen's president and chief technology officer, Mike Pritts, had served as interim head of the company, the spokesman said.
Sappern previously was senior vice president of client sales at Allscripts, according to a
PeriGen news release announcing his appointment. Before that, he held executive-level positions with Eclipsys, including corporate officer, senior vice president of professional services and senior vice president of technology solution services.
Allscripts acquired Eclipsys in 2010.
