Memorial Hospital, an HCA-owned facility in Jacksonville, Fla., has named Jim O'Loughlin its new president and CEO, effective Feb. 13, according to a news release.
O'Loughlin, 55, comes to the hospital in Jacksonville from Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, S.C., where he was president and CEO of the 405-bed hospital owned by for-profit Community Health Systems,
the Memorial Hospital release said. O'Loughlin also previously served as CEO of hospitals in Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma.
Current Memorial Hospital President and CEO James Wood is scheduled to retire this month after six years with the hospital and a long career at HCA, the release said.
