The program was created to honor men and women who have made outstanding contributions to our industry. Some 90 healthcare visionaries, original thinkers and people who applied the power of innovation to their profession are currently honored in the Health Care Hall of Fame.

Q: What is the eligibility criteria?
- Individual must no longer be working full-time in the healthcare industry or a profession allied to the healthcare industry for at least two years.
- Individual must not be employed by or under contract with Modern Healthcare, the ACHE or any organization or corporation that sponsors the Health Care Hall of Fame.
- Individual must not have been nominated more than five times for induction into the Health Care Hall of Fame.
Q: What is the award criteria?
- Individual must have successfully led one or more organizations in the healthcare industry or a profession allied to the healthcare industry (e.g., provider, supplier, academia, association, etc.)
- Individual must have made a lasting contribution to the healthcare industry and/or the patients served by the healthcare industry.
- Have made numerous significant contributions to the healthcare field at the local, state, and national levels.
- That contribution must be extraordinary or far exceed the expectations for someone in the candidate's position.
- Individual must have assumed a leadership position in the healthcare industry outside of the candidate's own organization or company.
- Individual must have demonstrated a willingness to share his or her expertise with others in the healthcare industry.
- Individual must have served as a role model or mentor to others in the healthcare industry.
- Individual must have showed the ability or influence to effect change in the healthcare industry.

A: The 2012 Hall of Fame program deadline has passed.
