A total of 196 respondents participated in Modern Healthcare's 32nd annual Construction & Design Survey.

This year's total includes 97 architecture firms, 33 construction management companies, 32 general contractors, 23 development firms and 11 design-build firms.

Announcements and reminders for participation were published in the magazine, sent via e-mail and were available online at modernhealthcare.com/surveys from Nov. 8, 2010, through Jan. 14.
