Companies that participate are considered eligible as an outsourcing firm if they have the following: A contract to manage a department (such as food service, housekeeping, data processing, etc.) of a hospital, long-term-care facility or other healthcare client. This questionnaire is not meant for firms managing entire facilities. Also a resident or off-site manager or management firm working full- or part-time with the client hospital, long-term-care facility or other healthcare client. Clients that share employees with other client facilities are considered consulting clients, not contract management, and should not be counted in this survey. This survey was first published in 1978.
