Heathcare workers union 1199 SEIU, which has thousands of Haitian members, announced a $1 million donation to the U.S. Fund for Unicef Monday. The union also launched a fundraising drive among its membership. All of the money will go directly toward UNICEF's relief efforts in Haiti, which are focused on providing clean water, medical supplies, temporary shelter, protection and food to the earthquake-ravaged nation's children.
