The American College of Healthcare Executives has named the winners of three annual awards for executives who the Chicago-based trade association says show strong leadership skills and lifetime achievements. All the awards will be presented at ACHE's Congress on Healthcare Leadership in March.
Earl Dresser was named the recipient of ACHE's 2010 Lifetime Service Award for his contributions to the organization over his career, which began in 1949. Dresser was chairman of the college in 1982, and helped to formulate the group's first-ever strategic plan. He was a top executive at numerous hospitals in the upper Midwest until his retirement in 1986, and he served in numerous consulting, governance and advisory roles after that.
