HHS expects to spend on average $1 million to $2 million each on two-year grants to fund electronic health-record system implementation assistance and other activities for an unspecified number of health information technology regional extension centers to be launched under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, according to a
draft description of the program published in the
Federal Register.
